Dr Tom Grice
Clinical Psychologist, Bristol
Hi, I care deeply about helping people to relate in meaningful and kind ways to themselves, others, and the aspects of the world that matter to them. I believe that there is no single ‘right’ way to alleviate suffering and together we will discover what works for you.
I am a UK-based clinical psychologist, registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). During my ten years of experience in mental health, I have worked with people of all ages and from diverse cultural backgrounds, as inpatients and in the community, both in the UK and abroad.
I am familiar with a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioural approaches, interpersonal approaches, and narrative therapy. I am an Association of Family Therapy (AFT) accredited systemic practitioner and have experience working with couples and families.
My background includes working with people experiencing severe and enduring mental health problems, including depression, anxiety and interpersonal problems. Alongside private therapy I currently work in the NHS, supporting those who are struggling with the psychological impact of having long term physical health conditions.
I am open-minded and compassionate. My therapeutic approach is closely aligned to my personal values which include protecting nature and the environment, spending time outdoors and with loved-ones, and being attuned to global issues. I strive to create a safe space in which emotions, patterns of behaviour and the stories about who you are can be heard, understood and explored.
about how we might work together.
