Dr Marius Vladut

Senior Clinical Psychologist
Hello, my journey in understanding the human psyche and attraction to psychology and psychotherapy started back in 2007 when I faced the death of my parents and sought out how to bring harmony and light to family relationships in the face of trauma. Since 2011, using a caring approach, I have been working in private practice containing clients’ emotions, encouraging them to find their inner path, reflecting with them about the power of their mind, and assisting them to overcome their fears and blocks.

I am always interested in what lies beneath clients’ symptoms or diagnosis, and consider them coping mechanisms for survival. The difficulties faced by the people I have supported have included anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, eating disorders and borderline personality disorder. In addition, since 2019, I have worked as a Career Orientation and Guidance Counsellor for students at “Babeş-Bolyai” University and am experienced in assisting people in career related decision-making processes.

I am not a follower of any paradigm, although I am trained in psychodynamic perspective and trained with Positive Psychotherapy. I continued my developmental process as a therapist with trainings in Ericksonian Clinical Hypnosis, Emotion-Centred Therapy, Compassion-Centred Therapy, Schema Therapy, but also with a Master program in "Behaviour Control Techniques and Development human potential ”(Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences,“Babeş-Bolyai ”University Cluj-Napoca).

All these psychotherapeutic approaches that I interacted with and which I integrate in my professional- self brought me, in a deep and authentic way, closer and closer to myself, closer and closer to my clients. The essence of professional life as a psychotherapist is, in my understanding, the position of being a humble companion for our clients in discovering the beauty of life, in understanding and reconciling with yesterday, but especially in the assumed construction of tomorrow.

As a psychotherapist, there are two major issues that bring me, day after day, to my office. On the one hand, it is about the satisfaction of the moment when I manage to connect, within the therapeutic relationship, with the client in front, when I manage to facilitate the harmonisation of individual rhythms to vibrate on the same wavelength, to communicate deeply and authentically, to feel, to create.

I am one of the founders of the Centre for Social Initiatives IMPROVE Association, an NGO that provides different trainings for social workers and psychologists/psychotherapists. I conduct indoor and outdoor trainings on soft skills and I work on different projects in schools in order to develop the emotional intelligence of children or deliver trainings for Amazon. I provide companies and institutions organisational psychology services as assessments at employment and periodic checks for staff, vocational assessments, career guidance and job mediation services.

In all this time working with people (children, adolescents, adults) I might say that psychotherapy is my calling.
Clinical Psychologist fluent in Romanian with interests in Emotion and Compassion Focussed Therapy.
